Organizing the new Upper Valley Young Professionals
You are invited to help organize the Upper Valley Young Professionals. Last May you may have attended a meeting at the AVA Gallery hosted by Stay Work Play and NH Public Radio and sponsored by Hypertherm. We are ready to setup the organization and hope you will join in deciding upon the structure and future of the Upper Valley Young Professionals.
What the organization becomes will be entirely up to the members who join. Please come and join in the creation. Young professionals from the worlds of art, finance, business, science and technology, human services, teaching, government and still other spheres will be there.
What do we hope the Upper Valley Young Professionals might become? Certainly we want to hold convivial gatherings in which we can meet, enjoy each other's company, and together enjoy many events in the Upper Valley and beyond. Beyond that we hope that events organized will strongly support personal career growth. We hope our numbers, our thinking and creativity, and our energy will contribute to the region's economic prosperity, cultural, and community life. Especially, we hope that we will make it easier both to find people who share our professional interests and people who will provide avenues to develop new interests for ourselves and our young families if and when we form them.
When: 5:30 on Thursday, January 5, 2012
Where: River Valley Community College in Lebanon at the Hypertherm Education Technical Institute at 325 Mount Support Road in Lebanon. The college is strongly supportive of encouraging the professional and cultural depth of the region and has donated space for the meeting.
Coffee and a light snack will be provided.
Bring friends who will contribute their ideas. We hope to see you there.
For a follow-up the Ava Gallery has generously agreed to host a second gathering on January 25 for networking and fun.
