As part of our Notch Hostel 10-Year Anniversary Celebration, we’re climbing Franconia Ridge for sunrise!

Join @findingphilip (Instagram account) in the early morning hours on July 19th for a moderate hike to one of the most iconic locations in the White Mountains.

We will depart the Falling Waters Trailhead at 4:00 AM sharp, giving us 90 minutes to reach the ridge by sunrise at 5:30 AM.

Most folks will start together but hike at their own pace. Please feel free to start earlier or later as needed.

Participants must have prior experience hiking 4,000-footers and be prepared to hike solo if necessary.

When: July 19th, 2025, 4:00AM start

Where: Falling Waters Trailhead, I-93 North

What: Franconia Ridge Loop
Stats: 8 miles, 4,000 feet of climbing

Although you don’t have to be registered for our Anniversary Party to participate, we do hope you’ll consider joining us at the Notch on the evening of the 19th as well.
