Pay the Piper returns for a post phish party @ RBC! Pay the Piper is a dynamic, high-powered quartet of friends that keep the room moving and the feet grooving. Consisting of John Gallagher (Vocals, Guitar), Shawn Fitzgerald (Drums), Mike Whaland (Bass, Vocals), and David de la Cour (Guitar, Vocals), together they don’t just play songs they tell stories with six strings, and sometimes five. Four friends and one mission: to keep the vibes high and the spirits higher. The next day your ears will be ringing, but your soul will be singing. Beginning in the hallowed halls of Plymouth state university in 2005, Pay the Piper was forged in the twin infernos (Twinfernos)of the residual heat rising from Late Night Pizza and laundromat on Main Street. Influenced by the thriving music scene of the surrounding area, the band began playing parties. Frat parties led to house parties, which led to being asked to play everywhere around New England, from the northern most tip of New Hampshire, to the gleaming beauty of Warwick, Rhode Island. The band’s blending of rock, funk, soul, metal, folk, reggae, and bluegrass keeps every set interesting. Sometimes the guys themselves don’t know what’s coming next.
