Who didn’t love the school book fair when we were kids?  This time, it’s books, beer and dogs.  Who could ask for anything more? When Beth Cairns (@bethonthebookshelf) organized this last year, we had such a blast!

  • The event will take place at Spyglass Brewing (@spyglassbrewing) in Nashua, NH.

  • There will be multiple bookstores represented, each with one or two different genres. (We got Romance, which fits us perfectly!)

  • A raffle supporting Old Dogs Go to Helen, a sanctuary for senior and hospice dogs.  Gift baskets including books, store gift cards, and bookish merchandise from each participating store will be raffled off and proceeds will be donated.

  • Victoria Lavine, author of Any Trope But You, will be returning this year with her new release Not That Kind of Proposal.  If you miss her appearance at the shop, please come meet her at this event.

As you can imagine, this will be slightly different venue than an elementary school bookstore.  Have a beer, browse some books and bookish stuff, and support a very worthy cause.

Old Dogs Go To Helen is not a facility or a shelter. It is a sanctuary for senior and hospice dogs and a hub for people who love old dogs and want to rescue, adopt, or donate to help them. “We connect people to older dogs available for adoption and those that are in need of further testing, special food, and/or costly medical care. We work with shelters and rescues to help these dogs get what they need without the shelter or rescue having to drain their own resources. We aim to spread awareness of the joys of senior dog adoption to help people see how bringing an old dog into your home is simply one of the best things you can do for our pups and for your soul.”
