SWP Advocacy Network: Arts and Community

RSVP for free here.

A Virtual Lunch & Learn with Sal Prizio, NH State Council on the Arts

New Hampshire’s arts and creative sector is more than culture — it is a driver of economic vitality, community belonging, and the quality of life that keeps young people here in the 603. For our next Advocacy Network session, we’re diving into the creative economy with Sal Prizio, Executive Director of the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA), who is leading statewide efforts to strengthen funding, data, and long-term policy support for this essential industry.

Join us for a timely conversation about the momentum building in the State House, including:

  • A new, bipartisan-backed initiative to fund a statewide Creative Economy Study that will finally give New Hampshire the data it needs to understand the reach, value, and workforce potential of its creative industries.

  • Insights from Pennsylvania’s 2025 Creative Workforce Study and the National Independent Venue Association’s impact report, and what these models tell us about opportunities for New Hampshire.

  • How independent venues, artists, cultural organizations, and creative businesses shape local economies — and what’s at stake without intentional investment.

  • What young people, employers, and community leaders can do to champion policies that grow and sustain a thriving creative ecosystem.

This conversation builds on Stay Work Play’s advocacy pillar of Thriving Communities, recognizing that a vibrant arts and culture landscape isn’t just “nice to have” — it’s one of the key reasons young people choose to stay, work, and play in New Hampshire.

Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your energy for building a more creative, connected, and competitive New Hampshire. This virtual lunch and learn is open to all members of the Advocacy Network — and those looking to get more involved.

Let’s shape a future where creativity, culture, and community fuel New Hampshire’s growth.

About Stay Work Play Advocacy Network:

Since 2019, Stay Work Play has been a leading voice for nonpartisan, issues-driven advocacy in New Hampshire, shaping policies that influence the state's ability to attract and retain young talent. At the heart of this effort is the Stay Work Play Advocacy Network—a passionate group of volunteers who meet virtually from December through June. Each meeting features guest speakers, including policy experts and lawmakers, who provide valuable insights on the key issues impacting young people in New Hampshire. These discussions guide the Committee’s recommendations and help shape Stay Work Play’s policy positions.

Advocacy Network meetings are held virtually and a Zoom Link will be sent to all registrants in advance of the meeting.
