Top Of the Ferris Wheel 2026 returns with our 5th annual high summer festival here at Mount Cabot Maple, hosted this year by our fresh-out-of-the-gate on-farm celebration venue, Mead Hill at Mount Cabot. This year’s absolute knockout highlight will be the Saturday night’s performance of SHE ATE, a drag show by Forrest Fleur and company from across New England.
Headlining our before-sunset sessions at Garden In The Sky (the stage) will be Middles, Stephanie Webb, returning six string titan Ezra Gildesgame, and more. To compensate our divine artists for their brilliance we are ticketing the event this year, and proceeds will be donated to support local queer & youth organizations in the north country.
Tickets are $20 available online, and $25 at the gate. These tickets accurately reflect the costs of this fabulous production, but our priority is bringing people together at Mount Cabot Maple and that cost should not be a barrier to anyone’s ability to attend; flexible pricing is also available at checkout to make sure you can get your ass out here, and supporting-donations made with Comrade tickets will help us make a genuinely-helpful sized donation to our local queer/youth organizing partners.
Weather happens, and this event is rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the performances will be indoors. If severe weather impacts parking, the event will be moved to the nearest possible date and your ticket will be valid then.
No alcohol will be served at this event.
*Disclaimer: our goals for this event are to bring queer people in the community together, and we do not want to bar anyone who may benefit from accessing. If any parents are interested in bringing young queer folks along with them, they are welcome to do so at their own discretion; please note that the drag artists will not be censored or filtered in any manner, so do come expecting adult themes typical of a drag show, including but not limited to (partial) nudity, explicit language, or sexual themes.
As is tradition we'll have a potluck banquet in the greenhouse, with limited refrigeration available for those hauling in dishes from afar. Plan ahead and chef it up!
Orchard Camping can be reserved at checkout - just select Orchard Crew (Saturday Only) or Orchard Guardians to be part of our volunteer corps. Camping is tent or hammock with limited space (confirmation required) for car camping, trailers and rigs with no hookups.
Why's it called that?
“The first days of August hang at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning. The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless and hot.” -N.B.
